A little about me
Hello, my name is Mandolin and Im the artist, creative mind, and the face behind Poppy Moon Tattoo Co.
I believe the best tattoos come from more than just a great design. They come from collaboration, trust, and feeling comfortable enough to be yourself.
Whether it's your first tattoo or your twentieth, my goal is to create an experience where you feel heard, welcomed, and excited about the art we're making together.
Art has always been a part of my life. I grew up surrounded by family members covered in tattoos, so tattooing was something that always felt familiar to me. In 2021, I was lucky enough to begin my tattoo apprenticeship at Fathom Deep Tattoos in Maui, Hawaii, and I’ve been tattooing ever since.
In 2023, I opened my own private studio with the goal of creating a more comfortable, personal tattoo experience. I wanted a space where people could feel safe, relaxed, and genuinely excited to be there.
One of my favorite things about tattooing is that I get to meet people from all walks of life. I love getting to know complete strangers until they don’t feel like strangers anymore. There’s something really special about the trust someone puts in you to create a piece of art they’ll carry with them forever.
My work spans a variety of styles, from black and grey ornamental and realism to color, fine line, and larger-scale pieces. I’m especially drawn to bold designs with heavy blackwork.
When I’m not creating, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family and exploring the beautiful desert we get to call home.
